IMPACT Laboratories Ltd. is an independent company based in Scotland, UK providing specialist testing and consultancy services across the construction supply chain. Whether our clients are material producers, processors or specifiers our aim is to be the partner of choice for construction product design, testing and accreditation.

Our particular speciality in the construction industry is in high performance applications. We are accredited to ISO 17025 for hydrostatic testing of pipes to ISO1167 and UKAS accredited for a range of material testing including UV weathering. As the leading tank and bund testing laboratory in the UK we are a nominated laboratory for CEN approval of polyethylene storage tanks for fuel and chemicals.

In our consultancy and project management area our approach is to introduce the right balance of business and technical skills to identify both improved and new product opportunities against market needs and trends. Whether the requirement is for a new construction material or application we have the experience and expertise to deliver cost-effective solutions.

A particular area of expertise is in polymer science including failure mechanisms and non-destructive testing methods and service life time assessment to support quality control and assurance systems for products. This knowledge base, based on outsourcing from BP Chemicals, is particularly important in giving confidence to product longevity.
