Our services span from specialty consulting to complete design and installation of siphonic roof drainage systems. We cover every aspect of rainwater management including risk analysis, rainwater harvesting, and rainwater flow and gutter analysis. UV-System™ technology and products are developed by Sommerhein AB of Sweden and marketed by Sommerhein AB in cooperation with local partners in each market.

History

In 1968 a major breakthrough in piped rainwater drainage systems was made when Olavi Ebeling invented the UV-System™. Mr. Ebeling was soon joined by Dr. Per Sommerhein who, as co-developer, assisted in promoting the system throughout Scandinavia.

Over the last 35 years Dr. Per Sommerhein has pioneered the technical development of siphonic rainwater systems for the discharge of rainwater from roof areas and has set the construction industry standard around the world.

Since the first major UV-System™ installation, an ABB turbine factory, was completed in 1972, large numbers of prominent buildings have benefited from the UV-System™ technology. The range spans from airports like Stansted International Airport in the UK, Oslo Gardermoen International Airport in Norway, and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China, to office towers like Citibank Group Shanghai, convention centers like Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the United States, and sport stadia like Reebok Stadium and Nanjing Olympic Stadium.

UV-System™ CAD proprietary in-house software generates models of all pipe systems in virtual 3D for greater accuracy in calculations, shop drawing production, material quantities, and costing. The UV-System™ flow modeling software (certified by British Board of Agreement) is the result of more than 35 years of experience and research in siphonic flow modeling and has seen more than 20 years of continuous improvement to its algorithms. The UV-System™ software is the state of the art tool for accurate analysis of the flow conditions in the pipework allowing optimized design for all buildings and careful monitoring of pressures, velocities, and flow development.
