Hanson is the latest 'big brand' from the construction sector to sign up to showcase its innovative products at Interbuild NEC Exhibition 2006.
LockClad, which is the ideal cladding solution for industrial, commercial and residential developments, will be one of many leading edge products on show from the major brick and block company.
Other market leaders exhibiting at Interbuild 2006 - which takes place at the NEC from April 23-27 - include Corus, Ideal Standard, Lafarge, Formica Limited and H+H Celcon.
The LockClad terracotta rainscreen cladding is not affected by UV radiation and any heat gain is dissipated into the ventilation zone. It also offers protection from the elements through a rainscreen ensuring water is drained at every horizontal joint.
The system provides both a ventilated rainscreen and decorative terracota façade and is suitable for most types of construction, including concrete, timber and steel framed building. It has the added benefit of being able to accommodate curved facades, corners, angles, window and door openings.
Peter Cobb, Sales Director explained: "The ventilated cavity incorporated immediately behind the façade dries out the structure and allows the building to breathe.
"The inner leaf is protected from the direct effects of weather, including ultra-violet light and heavy wetting. Numerous joints between tiles allow maximum ventilation into the cavity behind the terracotta façade. Wind-pressure acting on the face of the rainscreen is therefore balanced by the air pressure created within the cavity."
Gordon Thomas, Interbuild Event Director, said he was delighted to see so many market leading companies exhibiting at Interbuild.
"We've worked harder than ever to bring back the big brands, the exhibitors people really want to see, and make Interbuild a major destination and an essential visit for everyone working in and around construction," he said.
More than 44,000 trade professionals attended Interbuild 2004, when the UK's premier construction event last took place, and together they represented a combined buying power of around £24.5billion.
New initiatives at April's show include expanding the Off-site Solutions Zone to make it the biggest of its kind ever seen in Europe. A brand new architecture pavilion designed by leading industry figure Will Alsop will be a major feature, and the New Product Showcase which will display more than 100 of the latest products that are hitting the market will also attract key visitors.
Entrance to Interbuild 2006 is £20 on the day but is free to anyone who registers their details in advance at www.interbuild.com or on the hotline 0870 429 4558.
