SubscribeFor an effective and economic compaction of ditches, earth and slopes, Atlas Copco are presenting a new range of hydraulic compactors on the occasion of the Bauma 2007.
Six different compactors are on offer. They can be attached to carriers with a service weight ranging from 1 to 40 tons. The compacting area ranges from 0.16 to 0.74 square meters.
"We are offering a wide variety of products that can be attached to a large number of industrial carriers", says Bernd Jenner, Product Line Manager Pedestal Boom Solutions / Hydraulic Compactors. "The HC 103, the smallest in the line of compactors, is a powerful piece of equipment that can be used in confined spaces. The bigger units are all marked by a huge amount of power, reliability and flexibilty".
All Atlas Copco compactors can be quickly and easily attached to the carrier - they fit existing adapter plates of the light to medium class of Atlas Copco hydraulic breakers. The three bigger models feature replaceable compacting plates to meet individual requirements (e.g. for driving in posts, shutters or sheet piles).
"The attached compactors reduce the manpower needed in the immediate vicinity and protect the operator against noise and risks because he can work from the carrier cabin. This particularly enhances the safety when working in ditches", Jenner continues. "And attached compactors are much faster and hence more cost effective than hand-held units".
