With screw cap for easy handling, dust exhaust systems, and for a high drilling performance
The revised version of the pneumatic handheld rock drill BBD 12 combines the best properties of the proven series of Atlas Copco rock drills with the optimum protection against harmful rock dust.
The drill has been developed in cooperation with Gotthard Knoedlseder in Hauzenberg, a special wholesale dealer active all over Germany as an equipment supplier for the ashlar and drilling industry. Knoedlseder is selling these products exclusively in Germany. The hammer drill was presented to the public on the occasion of the Bauma 2007.
The new tool holder allows a flexible telescopic exhaust hood to be easily fitted to the hammer drill so that it can be connected to any customary dust exhaust system.
With having a good view of the tip of the tool, any kind of rock drilling work can be done easily and it also works for horizontal drilling.
The exhaust hood remains fixed to the rock drill and does not need to be additionally positioned as customary on other systems offered on the market.
The exhaust system sucks in the dust (a potential cause of serious lung deceases such as silicosis) directly at the point where it is produced – the drill hole – and keeps it away from the operator. The operator is additionally protected by a highly efficient PU silencer, which reduces the noise level by more than 50 %. It still offers a high safety against icing, if the tool is used at critical ambient temperatures.
The BBD 12 DCS rock drill can be used with commercial rock splitting drills.
