New Atlas Copco Demolition Pulverizer DP 2800

Atlas Copco Construction Tools

"There is a lot you can do with it“, is what Hans-Bertram Juntermanns, excavator operator of the Düsseldorf based company Prangenberg & Zaum, is saying about the new Atlas Copco Demolition Pulverizer DP 2800. "The wide and straight jaw and the rotation gear offers a lot more opportunities than a rigid, angled pulverizer“.

This proves that the goal of the Essen manufacturers to develop a new generation of demolition pulverizers that can be universally and economically used for primary as well as secondary demolishing jobs has been accomplished.

Demolition CutterJuntermanns is comparing the demolition pulverizer with a combi cutter: „They have a similar performance. The short opening and closing movements are particularly striking. The entire cycle only takes about 4 seconds and the slewing gear allows the pulverizer to be positioned quickly and with high precision. You have more time to do the actual demolishing job".

And even more time is saved because of the ease with which the pulverizer is serviced. Teeth and wear plates can be replaced on site, the blades can be easily and quickly turned around providing a maximum utilization of these wear parts.

The DP 2800 was put to work for the first time when a Karstadt branch in the centre of Wiesbaden had to be demolished. The DP 2800 had to demolish the lower concrete ceilings and walls - a job the demolition pulverizer handled with ease. Juntermann briefly commenting the job: „The concept is convincing".

The new DP 2800 is available as from December 2006 and replaces the DP 2500 in the line of products.
