Hangar 3 was put up on the site to the east of the existing hangar 2. The conceptual as well as the structural design are related to the neighbouring hangars 1 and 2.
The clear cubicle building volume and dominating vertical fenestration strips were adopted, which allow even lighting to the interior of the building as well as an exterior design element to divide the elevation into equal sections.

The structural concept is dominated by a trust girder spanning the width of the hangar on the entrance side with a span of approximately 75 m without intermediate support, which makes it possible to tow aeroplanes into the building over the complete width.

Aeroplanes of the order of size of an ATR 72/200 up to Airbus A 321 are parked. Since occasionally minor maintenance and repairs is carried out to the aircraft, a small workshop has been provided separate from the hangar, together with an office area.
